Today is the first day of our 8 week biggest loser transformation challenge. The contest can not be one on the first day, but it can definitely be lost. Mindset plays a huge role in everything we do in life. I have never thought to myself I cant lift this weight, or I cant do one more rep. That is a failure mindset, and you have all ready psyhced yourself out before you started. I preach to our South Windsor personal training clients to go into every workout with a killer mindset. To own every workout and feel good aftery they crush one. Here are some tips to getting yourself in the right mindset.
Have a boxer mentatility - This contest is all about having the right mindset. If you go into this first week with a unsure of yourself mentality then this will not go well for you. For those of you going into this with a boxer mentatility you will accomplish great things. What I mean by the boxer reference is this, you will get knocked down. There is to many temptations out there for you not to fall of the wagon a little bit. It is how you get up from those knockdowns that will determine your success.
Use the resources around you- I and other coaches are here to help you along the way. If you have a question you need to ask it. I love when our South Windsor bootcamp clients ask me nutrition questions. I know they are taking their fitness goals seriously when that happens. Check the facebook group frequently! There will be daily motivation, as well as workouts and nutrition tips.
Believe in yourself - This is the most important factor. You have to believe you can do this. This is an 8 week program not a all or nothing program. Follow it as we instruct you and stay confident that you can achieve this. Its going to feel like a marathon at times, but thats how you have to view it. Take it day by day and I know you will be successful.
Even if your not doing the transformation contest you can still take some pointers away from this. Mindset is everything, it pre deteremins whether we win or lose. If you want something you have to take it, nothing is given to you. Push yourself towards your goals and know in your heart that you can do this! We all believe in you!
