Now by no means am I saying to get to your workouts in bad weather. What I'm saying is where there is a will, there is a way. Here are 3 workout templates you can do at home to ensure you that you stay on track to your goals.
Tabatta Method- Pick a full body excercise like squat - press. Do as many repetitions you can for 20 seconds. Rest for 10 seconds. Repeat for a total of 8 rounds, and that's it your done. Four minute workout that will have your heart rate jacked up and feeling accomplished.
Density Training- 10 total minutes of work. Pick a couple exercises such as; squats, push ups, lunges. Do 5 repetitions of each without resting in between. See how many sets you can get in for 10 minutes.
M.E.L.T. bootcamp style training - Pick 5 exercises. Do 20-50 seconds of work for each exercise, followed by 10-20 seconds of rest. Repeat each exercise for a total of 4 rounds.
These workouts are challenging, fun and most importantly efficient. You can be very creative with your exercise selection, or as specific as you want to be. Your only limited by your own creativity. Our South Windsor personal training clients are instructed to let us know when the cant make it, so we can give them a workout similar to this. There are no excuses to not get a workout in. You want a better body, go out and take it! Don't let anything stop you especially weather.
