The election is right around the corner and it certainly seems like it has the most implications than any other election ever before. It is a very big year, because it will decide the direction our great country goes for the next four years. Everyone I talk to about the election has their mind made up on who they will be voting for. I on the other hand, do not. I’m not big into politics or talking about them. I feel that everyone has their opinion and will leave it at that. What I have taken from the debate and the overall process is some key points on how I live my life, and stay fit.
Life is a long journey, not an all or nothing approach. That’s
a point we preach to our clients at M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio. I have had
countless talks with our South Windsor bootcamp clients on ways to improve
their overall fitness and quality of life.
In watching the debate and the process of this election and reading
points by both candidates, I have recognized two main points.
·
Don’t
be afraid to change the “Norm”
The best candidate should win, even if
that means going against your normal beliefs. Our South Windsor personal
training clients know this to well, change is good! Changing up your diet, and exercise
routine can get you faster results. If you’re constantly eating the same things
and doing the same things there is only so far you will go. You need to make a
change to induce growth!
·
Make
a decision and stick with it!
Whoever you decide on Election Day stay
with it! Same rules apply to fitness. If
you say you’re going to walk today rather than take the elevator then DO IT! If
your say you’re going to start that new diet today then start it. Stick by your
word, it is the strongest thing you have. As a South Windsor personal trainer I
tell our clients that the only standing in your way is you. Don’t make excuses,
make progress!
Apply these points to your fitness goals and I promise
you will make changes for the better.
