Strength In Numbers

Some of the Coaches and I were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Perform Better-Functional Training Summit this past weekend in Rhode Island.  This was three days packed full of amazing lectures and hands-on workshops with some of the greatest Fitness Professionals in the industry.

I was able to learn from people like Rachel and Alwyn Cosgrove, Eric Beard, Todd Durkin, amoug the few.  Trainers from all over the country travel to experience and gain some of the knowledge from these brillant Coaches.

One of the things that I enjoy most about these seminars, is being in a room full of people with the same interest and passion as my own.  We are all different. Some train only youth, some just woman. Some participants may only work with older adults, and others competitive weight lifters. The common theme though is that we are all there for one reason, to better ourselves in our profession for our clients.

For me, there is an empowerment to be around people that all have the same interest as myself. For me, it is knowing that there is huge support system out there of Fitness Professionals. It gets me more excited about what I do.

This is a lot like the group training we have at M.E.L.T.  Even though our classes are filled with people that have different fitness abilities and goals, there is one common theme. Everyone who is part of our community is at M.E.L.T. to better their health.  Knowing that you are not alone in your journey will only help you travel that much further towards your goals. It also helps you stay on track not only because you now have people to hold you accountable, but to help you if you get off course.

All of the coaches at M.E.L.T. are here to ensure your success, however, it seems to help even more when you know you have people around you that are also striving for better health by attending our bootcamps, just like you.

Know that you are not alone. Everyone in our community is in the same boat as you. Perhaps your travels are for different purposes, however, everyone is striving towards health and fitness goals.I like to call this strength in numbers.
