I hear different excuses all the time made by people about their health and fitness. "I don't have time, I don't have money, I work too much, my kids"....you name, I've heard it.
These are all legit reasons, however, they should never be the reason you sacrifice your health!
Here is an easy circuit that you can do in between your busy schedule whether you are at work, or perhaps waiting for your kids to get off of the bus. All you need is a few minutes for this full body routine.
Terrific 10's
Repeat this as many times as you can in 10 minutes, 10 reps each exercise.
Squats
- Hands on side of head, squeezing shoulder blades back
Push ups
- You can use the wall, counter top, or floor. The goal, no matter what surface, is to get your chest as close as you can.
Alternating Lunges
- Giving yourself a nice wide stance, and making sure to push off with your heels when changing weight. Turn this full body by adding swinging arms back and front.
Burpees
I know you see this and cringe, however this is one of THE BEST metabolic exercises.
- You can start off with bringing one leg back at a time, or fire it up and hop both back into your plank position.
Do me a favor, try this small circuit at some point in your day. Not only will you feel more energized, but you will burn some calories and feel much more accomplished. Instead of plopping on the couch after your work day, do the circuit.
There is no reason why your health should be a sacrifice that you make!
