Local Business Spotlight: Salon Dell'Aera


       Hey everybody! Craig here. I had the chance to meet up with the owner of Salon Dell'Aera Heidi Cass. A successful business owner in the town of Glastonbury. I was able to catch up with her and ask her how her business is going.

1.       Who is your company and what do you do?

Salon Dell’Aera is the company and I am a hairstylist.

2.       What is one thing that is unique about your company?



Our company has a very central location, easy access to the highway, plenty of parking and most importantly is a place to come and feel better about yourself and build your confidence at the same time.



3.       Do you have anything exciting going on currently…events, promos, expansions?



We are offering a special decondition strength treatment for the month of March. I use a strengthening shampoo then deep conditioning all with complimentary champagne, fresh berries and Belgian chocolate for $35 which is usually $55!



4.       As a busy professional, you must have great organizational skills. Since most of our clients are busy professional, what’s your number one time management and organizational tip?

I use an appointment book and am always aware of the clock, I know how long each type of cut or treatment will take and use the appointment book according to the job. I would rather have fewer clients and take my time and give them the best experience possible then over book. That’s why the appointment book works!

One of M.E.L.T. Fitness Studios rockstar client shares her week 2 insight!

M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio’s Transformation Contest At Week Two: Clients Seeing Results and Changing Their Lives



It is week two of the eight week Transformation Contest being held at M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio,
Glastonbury.

Contestants are well on their way to a healthier lifestyle with the prize money only being part of
their transformation incentive.

“The cash prize at the end is great, but I am really looking to better my health and get to my
goals”, states Glastonbury client and contestant, Sara Dunnack.

She has lost 20 pounds since starting in late September. With three or more bootcamp
workouts a week and healthy eating, the Transformation Contest is driving her even closer
towards those goals.

Sarah says, “The fitness bootcamps that they offer at M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio are highly
addictive!”

This added to healthy food choices and keeping a food journal is helping Sarah and many
other M.E.L.T. clients stay on track. Contestants are also given access to a private email group
where they look for support from their fellow Transformation Bootcampers and M.E.L.T. Fitness
Coaches.

“We are not only transforming bodies, we are transforming a mindset”, says Results Coach,
Nicole DiMauro.

“There are a lot of crash diets and crazy workout gimmicks out there that can be harmful for
people. We provide our clients with the right fitness and nutrition tools to help them safely and
effectively get to their health goals. It is just about losing weight or getting tone. It is about
having a healthier life”, states Nicole.

Baseball Training Comes Into Focus at M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio Using Fast Bat

M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio takes sport specific training to the next level.

As winter starts MELTing away into spring, so does the athletic season. Everyone starts looking forward to baseball camp in the north as well as the south.  M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio in South Windsor is no different.

M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio is a member of Athletic Revolution, the fitness industry’s leader in athletic development. And M.E.L.T. has recently unveiled its investment in the Fast Bat Training system to incorporate into its baseball training. The concept of the Fast Bat system is to increase bat speed in as little time as possible, but in a manner that will be able to be maintained throughout the training year. “There are a lot of theories about how to increase bat speed for baseball players, most of which are false.” explains M.E.L.T. trainer Scott Provost.

“I have seen tremendous improvement in many players since I started incorporating this system into their strength training programs”, Provost says. Also included in the system is a radar device that measures bat speed. The readings from the radar are used to track the athlete’s progress throughout the training program.

Bat speed is directly correlated into distance and speed in which the ball travels after contact. Thus, the faster you swing the bat, the harder you hit the ball. The training concept is used by Olympic athletes around the world in many sports. Fast Bat adapts it sport specifically into baseball training.

While Fast Bat training is designed to achieve maximum results in as little time possible, it can also be used in training year round. “Off season training is used to achieve maximum results, in season training is used to maintain the results rewarded by the off-season training.”

Sports specific training is exactly what it sounds like and M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio is making sure their athletes are prepared for their upcoming seasons.

M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio Transformation Contestant’s Seeing Results in 1 Week

Participants Begin 8 week Journey to Health and Fitness
M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio has put on a  Transformation Contest taking clients on an amazing 8 week journey to improve their health, fitness and completely transform their bodies.
Joe Carabase says, “I love helping people change their lives. Unfortunately there is so much misinformation out there, and many struggle with finding the right knowledge to make positive changes. This contest is going to help a lot of people make big changes in their lives and hopefully inspire many others to do the same.”
The contestants will go through an 8 week transformation consisting of results proven training programs and workouts, and of course, we can’t leave out the 8 week nutrition program designed to promote a lifestyle change and boost metabolism. M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio has run several transformation contests, but this is sure to be the biggest and provide the most dramatic transformations of them all.  
 M.E.L.T. Fitness Studio is teaming up with a national food service company and all other Fitness Revolution franchisees to promote a nationwide transformation contest.  With the combined efforts of Personal Trainer Food, the hottest pre-made meal system in the country, and the world class fitness trainers in the Fitness Revolution franchise the contestants are sure to be provided with the best results imaginable!
The goal is for contestants to develop habits that will allow them to add years onto their lives and feel confident about themselves.

Roberta Carlon shared a story about her first week “The diet is really working, I tried on a pair of pants on that I couldn’t fit into a week ago and this week I was able to wear them comfortably.” The contest is really heating up and M.E.L.T. will be documenting their client’s success all the way through.
